Private Pilot Licence (PPL) Ground School
Besides the physical skills involved in piloting an aircraft, extensive knowledge is required to understand everything from navigating through the air by reference to the ground, to meteorology (the science of weather), aerodynamics, engine performance, the technology of aircraft design, physical limitations of human performance and aviation law.

You need not complete the Ground School Course before starting with flight training. We recommend that your undertake your practical flying training and ground school theory training in conjunction with each other so that the understanding developed in the classroom can be reinforced through practical experience in the cockpit.

At CTFTC, our groundschool is held in spacious modern facilities equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.

See Private Pilot Licence for requirements to become a pilot, duration of training and applications.

PPL Ground School consists of the following subjects:

Enrolment for individual subjects is available on request.
- Principles of Flight
- Aircraft Technical and General
- Flight Planning and Performance
- Air Law
